The ASUS TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi is built for reliability. TUF boards use components tested for durability, and this one pairs them with strong power delivery, Wi-Fi 7 and ASUS's excellent BIOS. It's a dependable choice for a PC you want to keep for years.

Power and performance

The TUF B850-Plus uses a 14+2+1 phase power design with 80A power stages, the same class as more expensive boards. It handles any Ryzen 7000 or 9000 processor, including 16-core models, without breaking a sweat, and supports memory overclocking up to around DDR5-8000.

ASUS's BIOS is one of the clearest to use, which helps when you turn on EXPO memory profiles or adjust fan curves for a quieter PC.

Storage and expansion

There are three M.2 slots, with the main slot supporting PCIe 5.0 SSDs, and a PCIe 5.0 x16 graphics card slot. ASUS includes tool-free M.2 latches for easier building. Some M.2 slots share bandwidth with expansion slots or SATA ports, so check the manual's lane-sharing table before filling every slot.

Connectivity

You get 2.5Gb Ethernet, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, plus USB-C ports at 20Gbps and 10Gbps on the rear panel, and HDMI and DisplayPort outputs for Ryzen chips' built-in graphics.

Platform
