Our take
The MSI MPG 321URX puts a 32-inch 4K QD-OLED panel running at 240Hz into one monitor. It gives you pin-sharp detail, perfect blacks and near-instant response, and adds HDMI 2.1 for consoles and a 90W USB-C port that can power a laptop. It's our pick for a 4K gaming monitor.
Picture quality
At 32 inches, 4K is very sharp, so text and fine detail look crisp, making it good for work as well as games. QD-OLED gives perfect blacks, infinite contrast and very rich colours covering 99% of DCI-P3. It's certified for DisplayHDR True Black 400, so HDR films and games look striking, especially in a dim room.
The glossy screen makes images look clearer but reflects lights and windows. Full-screen brightness is lower than an LCD's, so very bright, white-heavy scenes can look a little dim.
Gaming performance
With a 240Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time, motion is very smooth and clear. To get anywhere near 240fps at 4K in modern games you'll need an RTX 5080 or RTX 5090 with DLSS. With a slower card, it still looks fantastic at 60 to 120fps. Two HDMI 2.1 ports run the PS5 and Xbox Series X at 4K and 120Hz.
Connections
The USB-C port carries video and supplies up to 90W, enough to charge most laptops. A built-in KVM switch lets you share one keyboard and mouse between a laptop and a desktop.
Burn-in
OLED panels can suffer burn-in if the same static image, such as a taskbar or game HUD, stays on screen for hours every day. Modern OLED monitors reduce the risk by gently shifting pixels and running a panel-refresh cycle when the monitor is in standby, so leave it plugged in, use a dark theme and let the screen sleep when you're away. MSI's OLED Care features handle this automatically, and the three-year warranty covers burn-in.
Who should buy it
Buy the MSI MPG 321URX for a high-end 4K gaming setup with a powerful graphics card, or as a premium screen for gaming, films and work. If your graphics card is more mid-range, a 1440p OLED like the LG 27GS95QE is easier to drive at high frame rates.
