Our take

The Logitech MX Anywhere 3S is a compact mouse for working on the move. It tracks on almost any surface, including glass, with quiet clicks and Logitech's fast MagSpeed scroll wheel.

Size and comfort

The MX Anywhere 3S is small enough to slip into a laptop bag or pocket, but more comfortable than most travel mice thanks to its rounded shape and soft side grips. It suits small and medium hands with a claw or fingertip grip. People with large hands who use a palm grip may prefer the bigger MX Master 3S.

Tracking anywhere

Logitech's Darkfield sensor tracks on almost any surface, including glass tables, glossy desks and hotel bedspreads, where normal mice often fail. It runs at up to 8,000 DPI, useful on high-resolution screens.

Scrolling and clicks

The MagSpeed electromagnetic scroll wheel switches between precise, notched scrolling and fast free spinning, which makes long documents and web pages quick to get through. Clicks are quiet, ideal for cafés, trains and shared offices.

Connections and battery

It connects by Bluetooth to up to three devices, such as a laptop, tablet and desktop, and switches between them with a button. Logitech's Bolt USB receiver is sold separately. With Logi Flow, you can move the cursor and copy files between computers.

The rechargeable battery lasts up to 70 days, and one minute of USB-C charging gives about three hours of use.

Who should buy it

Buy the MX Anywhere 3S if you work on a laptop in different places and want a quiet, comfortable mouse that works on any surface. For a desk-bound setup, the MX Master 3S is more comfortable and has more buttons.
