Our take

At just 165g, the Logitech G435 LIGHTSPEED is one of the lightest wireless headsets around. It has both a low-latency LIGHTSPEED dongle and Bluetooth, which makes it a comfortable, affordable choice for teenagers and casual gamers.

Comfort

The G435's light weight means you hardly notice it, even after hours of use. It fits smaller heads well, which makes it a good choice for children and teenagers, and the soft, breathable ear cushions stay cool.

Sound

The 40mm drivers give a clear, enjoyable sound for games, music and videos. It's not as detailed or powerful as more expensive headsets, but very good for the price.

Wireless

The LIGHTSPEED 2.4GHz USB dongle gives low-latency audio on PC and PlayStation, and Bluetooth connects phones, tablets and the Nintendo Switch. Battery life is up to 18 hours, enough for several days of typical use, and it charges over USB-C.

Microphone

Instead of a boom microphone, the G435 has two microphones built into the ear cup that focus on your voice. It's fine for casual chat with friends, but voices sound more distant than on a headset with a boom mic.

Who should buy it

Buy the G435 for an affordable, lightweight wireless headset for casual gaming, younger players or smaller heads. For better sound and a proper microphone, the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7 or HyperX Cloud III Wireless costs more.
