Our take

The ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED combines a vivid OLED screen with a light, slim body and long battery life, making it one of the best all-round Windows laptops for work, study and travel.

Display

The 14-inch OLED screen is the highlight. Deep blacks, rich colours and high contrast make films, photos and even documents look great. Higher-end models have a sharp 3K resolution at 120Hz for smooth scrolling, while cheaper ones use Full HD at 60Hz. The glossy finish reflects light, so it's less comfortable in direct sunlight.

Performance

The Zenbook 14 OLED comes with Intel Core Ultra or AMD Ryzen AI processors, which are fast for office work, browsing, video calls and photo editing, and have built-in NPUs for AI features. Their integrated graphics handle light gaming and older titles, but not demanding new games.

Memory is soldered to the motherboard, so choose 16GB at minimum, or 32GB if you multitask heavily.

Battery and portability

A large 75Wh battery gives excellent battery life for a 14-inch laptop, often more than a full working day. At about 1.2kg, it's easy to carry all day.

Ports

There's a good selection of ports for such a slim laptop: two USB-C ports (Thunderbolt 4 on Intel models, USB4 on AMD), a USB-A port, full-size HDMI and a headphone jack.

Windows laptops are sold in many configurations under the same name, with different processors, graphics, memory and screens. Check the exact specification in the listing before you buy.

Who should buy it

Buy the Zenbook 14 OLED for a light, long-lasting Windows laptop with a beautiful screen for work, study and travel. If you need to play demanding games, look at the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14.
