Why this build works
The Ryzen 5 7600 and AM5 motherboard give you a modern platform that AMD has committed to supporting through at least 2027, so a faster processor can drop straight in later. The Intel Arc B580 is the best-value graphics card for 1080p, and you can step up to the RX 9060 XT 16GB or RTX 5060 Ti 16GB if your budget stretches.
Saving money
With memory prices high, you could drop to the Crucial DDR5 32GB 5600MHz kit for a small performance cost. Don't go below 32GB on a new build: you'll want it as games get more demanding.
Before you build
You'll need a copy of Windows 11 and a USB stick to install it from. After building, update the motherboard BIOS and turn on EXPO in the BIOS so the memory runs at its rated speed.
